Raymihuara - Music of the Andes

Raymihuara was founded as a musical ensemble in Edmonton in 1976 by a group of Chilean refugees who perform South American folk music.
Currently the ensemble is composed of four musicians who play a wide variety of musical instruments which includes string, wind, and percussion instruments. The string instruments are: the classical guitar, Charango (an indigenous guitar), Colombian Tiple and Cuatro from Venezuela. The wind instruments from the Andean region include several types of pan flutes, bamboo flutes and the traditional silver flute. Percussion instruments include, among others, the bongos, congas, Bombo Leguero from Argentina and Cajon from Peru.
