Artist Bio:
”I am local visual artist and educator that has been involved with various visual arts programs with the City of Edmonton, including painting, drawing. I designed and set up the children’s program at the City Arts Centre. I have been invited to Edmonton Public School classrooms to teach art. I have exhibited and sold various work throughout the years through various small galleries in Edmonton and as well in Radium, BC”
Artist Statement:
This series of paintings was in response to lock down during the pandemic. I focused on a light hearted representation of the creek and pond life in my backyard. I was intrigued with the overlap of boundaries between the wild and the urban. I enjoy telling a narrative using playful interactions. Colour and pattern help create visual interest in the story I am telling.
