Hi, my name is Tara Strohschein. Married and mother of two. I have been doing chalk art since 2015. It started as birthday art on the driveway for my kids, to drawing for the oilers playoffs last year. I took a year off after being diagnosed with vestibular migraines and vertigo. I picked up the chalk again and started to draw and find peace in creating art that brought joy to those in my neighbourhood, and bonus, I could sit on the ground and not worry about getting dizzy. I am looking forward to creating more fun chalk art this summer for everyone in our beautiful city to enjoy.

I work primarily with sidewalk chalk and soft pastels, creating vibrant, detailed pieces both indoors and outdoors. Whether it’s original art, murals, or custom requests, I bring color and creativity to any surface. Based in Edmonton, I specialize in chalk art that turns sidewalks and public spaces into temporary works of beauty.

Exploring the realms of video game design, murals, and the growth of my chalk art, I’m an artist who loves diving into new challenges! While exploring different art methods, I like to take breaks with some cookies and milk—it makes my day so much sweeter and keeps me energized.

Hi I’m Sabrina, I specialize in chalk art and pet portraits. Chalk art has been a part of my creative journey since I was very young, evolving alongside my skill as I grew older. What started as shaky flowers and rainbows has turned into concrete portraits. My passion for chalk art has grown throughout the years and it is now one of my favourite mediums to work with. I’ve had the opportunity to showcase my work through Arts on the Ave and Chalk It Up last year and I’m so excited to take part in the Carrot’s birthday celebration again! My hope is that with each piece I finish, I can spread joy and inspire the next generation of artists to follow their passion and embrace what art means to them
