Friday Nite Live - Erin Dawn and the Daybreakers

The Carrot Friday Nite Live presents Erin Dawn and the Daybreakers - August 28

🎶 Live music starts at 7:00 pm | $10 Cover | Youth (12 & under) $5 | All Ages 🎶

Erin Dawn and the Daybreakers grace the stage to share their unique music with our local community here in Edmonton. Blending the roots of bluegrass with a modern, heartfelt edge, this contemporary bluegrass ensemble brings a distinctive voice to the genre through the original songs of Edmonton songwriter Erin Dawn. Erin is joined by Mark McHale on mandolin, Nieva Srayko on Banjo, and Victor Mala on guitar. With rich harmonies, expressive instrumentation, and arrangements that balance tradition with innovation, the band creates a sound that feels both grounded and refreshingly new. Their music moves between intimate, reflective moments and driving, high-energy grooves, always anchored by lyrics that resonate long after the last note fades. On stage, the group delivers performances that are as genuine as they are engaging, inviting audiences into Erin’s world—one shaped by vulnerability, resilience, and a quiet sense of defiance. Whether playing a small listening room or a festival stage, they offer something rare: bluegrass music that honors its roots while making space for stories that don’t always get told.

Live at The Carrot Spotlight Series presents: Veronica Raine

🎶 Live music starts at 7:00 pm | $20 Cover | Youth (12 & under) $10 | All Ages 🎶

With music championed by SiriusXM, CBC, and more than 80 radio features in the last year, alongside worldwide blog coverage, the Southern Alberta indie folk artist is building a reputation for fearless songwriting and a connective live performance. Blending emotionally honest lyricism with melodies that linger long after the final note, Veronica's music explores the complexities of love, loss, healing, and the moments that shape who we become. Her ability to transform deeply personal experiences into songs that feel universally relatable has made her a compelling voice in Western Canada's emerging indie folk scene. In 2026, Veronica marks new milestones with performances at the Winnipeg Folk Festival, Tongue on the Post Music Festival, and East Town Get Down Music Festival. She has shared the stage with acclaimed Canadian artists Mallory Chipman, JJ Shiplett, John Hewitt, and Amy Bishop, earned a spot on the Canadian Indie Country Countdown with her debut single, August, and continues to bring her music to audiences across Alberta and as far north as Whitehorse, Yukon. Whether performing in an intimate listening room or on a festival stage, Veronica brings a rare combination of vulnerability and conviction—creating the kind of performances that leave audiences feeling like they haven't just heard a song, but lived one.
